Welcome to the 25th International Congress
on Sexual Plant Reproduction (ICSPR)

The 25th International Congress on Sexual Plant Reproduction will take place in Gifu (Japan) on June 11–16, 2018. The congress is held once every two years and is hosted by the International Association of Sexual Plant Reproduction Research (IASPRR; http://www.iasprr.org/index.php?browse=26). The 25th ICSPR will be the first held in Japan and will be located at the Nagaragawa Convention Center, Gifu (http://www.g-ncc.jp/en/).

We have developed a program that includes a wide variety of important topics in plant reproduction, from flowering to seed and fruit production as you will see on the web site (http://forum.nacos.com/icspr2018/program.html). Each of the planned plenary sessions will include talks from leaders in that particular field. We will also encourage related contributions from others in the field in the poster sessions. The poster abstracts will be used to select other some additional speakers for oral presentations during the plenary sessions and to identify potential recipients of congress awards, particularly young scientists (H.F. Linskens Presentation Awards, M.T.M. Willemse Poster Awards). All of the sessions will take place in the same hall and thus all discussions will involve all participants. The goal of this meeting is to highlight current progress in plant reproduction. We also wish to recruit as many new scientists as possible to IASPRR. We look forward to seeing you at the 25th ICSPR!
